Crypto prop firms with 1-step challenges

Crypto: a one-step challenge has a single evaluation phase: reach the profit target without breaking the loss limits and you move to a funded account. It is the shortest route through an evaluation, though the single target is usually higher than either phase of a two-step and the loss limits are often tighter. The programs below are one-step evaluations.

How a one-step challenge works

In a one-step evaluation you trade one account towards one profit target while staying inside a maximum loss limit and, on most programs, a daily loss limit. Some programs also set a minimum number of trading days or a consistency rule. Once you pass, the firm reviews the account and issues a funded account, usually with fresh limits.

Having only one phase means fewer chances to breach and a faster path to a first payout. Firms balance that by setting the target higher than a single phase of a two-step, using a smaller maximum loss, or applying a trailing drawdown instead of a static one. Futures firms mostly use one-step evaluations, commonly with an end-of-day or intraday trailing drawdown.

Before buying, compare the target with the maximum loss, since the ratio between them matters more than either number on its own. Check how the drawdown is measured, whether the daily loss is based on balance or equity, and whether a consistency rule applies in the evaluation, on the funded account or both.

Frequently asked questions

Is a one-step challenge easier than a two-step?

Not necessarily. You pass one phase instead of two, but the target is often higher and the loss limits tighter. Which suits you depends on how your strategy handles a larger target against a smaller loss buffer.

Do one-step accounts pay a lower profit split?

Some do and some do not. The profit split is set per program, so compare the starting split and any increases for each matching program rather than assuming the evaluation type decides it.

How long does a one-step challenge take?

That depends on the time limit, if there is one, and on any minimum trading days. Many programs have no deadline, while others give a fixed number of days. The program details for each firm show which applies.
