What the rules mean in practice
- To pass, grow the $5K account by $500 (10%) without breaking a loss limit.
- On any single day you can lose up to $150 (3%). Check Kraken Prop's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $300 (6%). This is static drawdown: the loss limit is fixed at a set distance below your starting balance and never moves.
- Consistency rule: None
- At a 80% split, you need about 1.13% return on the funded account to earn back the $45 fee.
- Payouts: requested at any time from a funded account with no open positions or orders; each request is reviewed, usually within 12 hours and at most 24.
- The 6% maximum drawdown is fixed from the starting balance; the 3% daily loss is reset at 00:30 UTC from the balance at that time. Both are checked against equity, and fees count toward them.
- Starter is not offered at $200K.
- The 90/10 split upgrade adds 20% of the base fee and must be chosen at purchase.
- Reaching the target closes all open positions automatically and marks the evaluation as passed.
