Forex prop firms with $100,000 accounts

Forex: a $100,000 account is the size many traders aim for, with loss limits and payouts measured in thousands of dollars rather than hundreds. The fee is higher, so each failed attempt costs more and the rules deserve a closer read. The programs below offer an account with a $100,000 starting balance.

Trading a $100,000 prop account

At this size a percentage loss limit becomes a large dollar figure, which gives room for several positions and wider stops. It also means larger swings in the account, and some traders find their decisions change when the numbers on screen grow. Trading at a size where the dollar risk feels normal can matter as much as the rules.

Fees for $100,000 accounts are well above those for small sizes, so the cost of a breach rises with them. A refundable fee, a static drawdown or a reset option can change the real cost considerably. In futures, a $100,000 account often comes with a higher contract limit and a larger dollar drawdown, though the drawdown may be a smaller share of the balance than on forex programs.

Before buying, check the maximum loss in dollars, how the daily loss is calculated, any contract or lot limits, and any rule that caps how much profit can come from one day. Also check whether early payouts are capped at this size, and whether the firm limits how many accounts or how much total balance you can hold.

Frequently asked questions

What changes when I move up to a $100,000 account?

The percentages usually stay the same, but every limit, target and payout is larger in dollars, and so is the fee. The main adjustment is position sizing and comfort with larger swings, which some traders test on a smaller account first.

Is the profit split higher on a $100,000 account?

Not usually. Most firms set the profit split by program rather than by account size, though scaling plans often raise the split or the balance after consistent payouts. Check each program's split and scaling terms.

Can I combine smaller accounts to reach $100,000?

Some firms let you hold several accounts up to a total allocation cap, and a few allow funded accounts to be merged. Rules differ, so check the firm's maximum allocation and whether several accounts can be traded with the same strategy.
