What the rules mean in practice
- To pass, grow the $5K account by $300 (6%) without breaking a loss limit.
- On any single day you can lose up to $150 (3%). Check Alpha Capital's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $200 (4%). This is balance trailing drawdown: the loss limit rises with your closed balance as you make profit, so it follows your gains.
- Consistency rule: 40% best-day rule on the qualified account for on-demand payouts
- At a 80% split, you need about 0.93% return on the funded account to earn back the $37 fee.
- Payouts: on demand (40% best-day rule and 2% minimum profit)
- The 4% maximum loss trails the highest balance reached and stops at the starting balance.
- Daily loss is 3% during the evaluation and 4% on the qualified account, measured from the higher of start-of-day balance or equity.
- The 90% split is a paid add-on (about 10% of the plan price).
